Wicker Man Locations

The town of Whithorn, located ten miles south of Wigtown in Dumfries & Galloway, served as the site of Summerisle's library and registry office.

With the exception of the wheelchair ramp, the front of the library has barely changed since the film was made. The front of the library and the adjacent house can also be seen in the scene where the children "carry death out of the village".

The house at 59 George Street, Whithorn was used to film the upstairs bedrooms and landing of the Green Man Inn. The rear of this building being where Ash Buchanan is introduced to Willow by Lord Summerisle.
